G-SHOCK’s latest batch of summer-ready watches arrives just in time for beach season. The Japanese watchmaker’s Beach Time Lapse collection introduces DW-5600 and GA-2100 models featuring iridescent color gradients inspired by the seaside — think multicolor sunrises, sunsets and velvety blue waves crashing against the shore. Reimagining G-SHOCK’s rugged design ethos with a nautical spin, the classic silhouettes are functional and stylish timepieces engineered for water-bound adventures in the sun.
The Beach Time Lapse collection welcomes the delights of summer by playfully accenting G-SHOCK’s most popular case models with prismatic color effects. The lineup debuts the new DW-5600TL-7, DW-5600TLS-8, GA-2100TL-7A and GA-2100TLS-8A, each available in solid white and translucent gray resin makeups. Famed for their outdoor and sporting utility, the DW-5600’s classic square shape and digital screen are iconic cornerstones of the first-generation DW-5000C; the digital-analog GA-2100 line, by contrast, boasts an octagonal bezel and compact, lightweight build. Vapor deposition treatments on each watch face produce a unique color gradient reminiscent of daytime and evening skylines; the white band showcases a gorgeous blue gradient, while the gray band opts for a dusk-inspired orange hue.
With shock-resistant componentry and 20-bar water resistance, the watches can withstand the summer’s elements, making them ideal wrist accessories for skaters, surfers and outdoor enthusiasts. Super Illuminator LEDs on each model enhance readability in dim-lit environments. Other notable features include a 1/100-second stopwatch and a countdown timer. The GA-2100TL models also include hand-shift functionality and five daily alarms.
