In a highly anticipated team up with Gordon Nicolson Kiltmakers and Lochcarron of Scotland, Xbox has released a limited-edition tartan-covered controller to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its initial launch.
Woven by Lochcarron, the most established weaving mill in Scotland, the design incorporates Xbox’s archetypal shades of “RV Green”, “Viv Green”, “Apple 13” and has been supported by the Scottish Tartans Authority.
“It’s an honor to work in partnership with one of the biggest technology brands in the world,” said Gordon Nicolson, Leading Tartan Designer. “It’s certainly a collaboration that hadn’t sprung to mind for us, connecting kilts and games consoles, but we actually have many shared values. Coming together to celebrate Xbox’s 20th anniversary is the perfect marriage for us.”
